FAQ

  • For best results, avoid hair removal for at least 2-3 weeks. You want your hair to be ¼ inch long ( or size of a cupcake sprinkle!)

  • Please come into the appointment with clean skin. Leading up to the appointment, exfoliate 2-3x a week and moisturize daily. You can exfoliate the night prior. Avoid any caffeine or Advil as this can lead to excess pin point bleeding.

  • We use a combination of hard and soft wax, tailored to fit your individual skin and hair needs.

  • This depends on your tolerance for pain.

    Since we are removing the hair by the root, the first time can feel uncomfortable. Over time & with consistent waxing, you will notice your hair starting to thin out and will get easier!

  • Totally fine! You can still receive your wax service. You may feel increased sensitivity or discomfort. In order to perform the service, please wear a tampon or menstrual cup.

  • Normally your wax should last between 3-4 weeks. Everyone’s rate of regrowth can vary. With proper aftercare, there is possibility to extend the results.

  • Keep your skin clean and dry.

    Avoid sweating, sexual activity, and swimming for 24 hours.

    Since waxing is a form of exfoliation, avoid your aftercare exfoliant for 72 hours and then resume as normal.

  • Before opening Orchid Wax Studio, I had worked at a corporate waxing chain for 2+ years. There I had serviced thousands of women and men where I provided top quality service.

    I am licensed professional and I take sanitation extremely seriously. I am also Barbicide certified.
